Original watercolor painting, 'Sunny Winter Day in the Mountains', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This piece was inspired by a scene I came across several years ago while snowshoeing many miles into Wild Basin, which is the southern section of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a sunny, clear morning in late winter. A brilliant, vivid blue sky shone overhead, and I was surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks. The greens of the pine and fir trees around me dotted the mountain slopes, some nearer to me, others farther in the distance. This painting would be perfect for any mountain lover, whether here in the Colorado Rockies, or elsewhere in the world - those who ski, snowshoe, or simply love beautiful scenes such as this. This piece is filled with blue, green, and white tones.
