'Colorful Mountain Willow Autumn Landscape', a fine art photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Low-lying willow shrubs, common in the Rocky Mountains of western North America, fill much of the moister land containing streams and lakes. By late autumn, the leaves of these plants have turned various shades of gold, yellow, orange, and brown -- and this large open space is filled with warm color in the early evening light, a few hours before sunset. Pine forest, accentuated by shadows, grows nearby, and majestic mountain peaks rise in the background. This scene is within Rocky Mountain National Park, which borders the community of Estes Park, in the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies.
