Original watercolor painting, 'Pasque Flowers', by Lynn Cyrus /Cascade Colors. These delicate purple - blue wildflowers are some of the first to bloom in spring, emerging from the wet soil after the snow melts away. I see these in Colorado and always rejoice, as it means spring is here! I chose soft colors to create a more impressionistic, flowing feel to this piece. This piece was voted into a 3rd place finish in the FAA-only May 2018 contest, 'Best Flowers for Mom'!
