Original watercolor painting, 'Winter Aspen', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This piece was inspired by a recent trip to Kenosha Pass after an overnight snowfall. This open area lies within the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and boasts large stretches of aspen and pine. Fresh, fluffy snow lay all around, and it still covered all of the branches and twigs of the aspen trees in the meadow. It was truly a magical and peaceful moment in nature. In this painting I created more of an evening/twilight ambience to enhance the magical feel. Purple, blue, and aqua tones fill this piece.
