Description
Original watercolor painting, 'Colorado Aspen and Mountain Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I was inspired with this piece by a scene in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, near Nederland, Colorado. This large wilderness spreads across much of what is known as the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies. Here, autumn has arrived, and the ground vegetation is beginning to turn various shades of orange, brown, red, and olive. Aspen trees rise towards a bright blue sky, and a mountain peak rises in the distance. The leaves of the aspens have already fallen to the ground, and winter will soon be arriving.
