Artist's Description
Original watercolor painting, 'Changing Seasons Landscape', by Cascade Colors/ Lynn Cyrus. Starting from a black and white photo that I took of a cold November landscape in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, I selected vivid orange, yellow, purple, blue, and pink-red colors for a colorful more whimsical and impressionistic styled painting. Autumn is shifting to winter in this woodland forest, with some leaves remaining on the trees, but also snow covering the ground and snow and frost covering many of the leaves and branches of the trees and vegetation beside the stream. Shadows and sunlight dapple the field in the foreground. Painted on 140 pound cold press Arches watercolor paper.
