Original watercolor painting, 'A Stroll Through the Winter Forest', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I am working on a commission of a winter forest painting, and am exploring and testing out different options. This piece was inspired by some trees I saw and photographed while hiking through Golden Gate State Park, in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Snow covers the ground, and shadows and sunlight play across the ground. A path crosses the gentle slope, and a figure can be seen walking. This piece is filled with blue, green, and yellow tones.

My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing.
