'Marsh Marigold Detail', a fine art nature and flower photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Marsh Marigolds fill the wet soils of mountain forests soon after the snow melts. Their blooms can cover the forest floors of the Colorado Rocky Mountains early in the season. This one caught my eye as these flowers usually aren't facing outwards like this - typically they face up towards the sky. So this position created a lovely opportunity for a more detailed shot.
