'Blue and White Colorado Winter Beauty', a fine art landscape photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. On a sunny, mostly clear winter morning in early February, the sky is a bright, vivid blue and the snow-covered mountain slopes are a fresh, lovely white. I was the only person on this mountain on this particular morning, which was just how I like it -- a whole wilderness to myself, with beauty and peace surrounding me. Mountain peaks rise majestically in the distance, and pine trees layer the foreground. This part of the Colorado Rocky Mountains is near Berthoud Pass, which is above the ski community of Winter Park - a popular outdoor destination, especially at the height of winter.
