Artist's Description
Original watercolor painting, 'Crane Ballet', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I was inspired to create and paint another large composition, this one being about the size of a poster, approximately 20 x 28 inches. I enjoy painting 'multiples' of the same thing, and telling a story, and here I have depicted many Red-crowned cranes; some are displaying and 'dancing', others are walking or standing, others are flying in and beginning to land, others are taking off and flying away, and one is flying directly overhead. These elegant, beautiful, graceful birds are found in east Asia, and breed in parts of Siberia, Mongolia, and China. I created a very flowing, impressionistic background and sky.
