'Female Empress Brilliant', a fine art nature photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This beautiful, iridescent hummingbird is found in parts of northwestern Ecuador (along the western slope of the Andes) and western Colombia. The female has rich green iridescent plumage and a spotted breast, and it stands clearly against the background foliage in this more tropical environment. I had the pleasure of watching and photographing these beautiful birds while visiting Amagusa preserve.
