'Evening Landscape on the Slopes of Ute Peak', a fine art landscape photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. After spending the late afternoon hours hiking through the pine forests covering the lower elevation slopes of Ute Peak, I explored this delightful open meadow above the trailhead. Early evening clouds stretched out towards the east, and shadows from the pine trees provided contrast and scope to this scene. Flowering shrubs grew from the foreground, which I found to be the perfect final touch to this beautiful moment in time in nature. Ute Peak rises to slightly over 12,000 feet between Silverthorne and Steamboat Springs, and from its slopes you can look west to see the entire Gore Range.
Fine art photography and watercolor paintings! My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing. NO AI, no altered backgrounds, no filters, no effects, everything shot in RAW. The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife, and scenes from my travels. I particularly focus on color and wet-on-wet effects. In terms of style, I enjoy experimenting with various styles. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also, feel free to send me...
