'Aspen Sunflower Sunset Landscape', a photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Brilliant yellow Aspen and Mule's Ear Sunflower blooms fill a green meadow at the base of a mountain slope outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. Wildflowers grow densely in this region of the Rocky Mountains, due to higher amounts of rainfall. I took this shot at sunset, on an overcast evening, so colors were especially vibrant and rich. This peaceful scene was taken in early July.
