Artist's Description
Original watercolor painting, 'Two Trees in Wintry Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I referenced a photograph I took of some oak trees after a winter snowstorm as inspiration for this painting. I wanted to create a wintry ambience, with the impression of snow, in a more abstract and minimalist way, using only purple, blue, and gray tones. I also chose to keep the composition relatively simple, to highlight the two trees. The Original is a large piece, 22x30 inches, painted on 300 pound Fabriano cold press fine art watercolor paper.
