Original watercolor painting, 'Twin Lakes Autumn', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This piece is inspired by views from the South Elbert Trail above the Twin Lakes, which lies between Leadville and Buena Vista. Peaks of the Rocky Mountains rise in the background, and a portion of the lake can be glimpsed through the aspen trees. Autumn is approaching its end, so leaves are more sparse on some of the trees, but bright yellow, golden, orange, and olive green colors still fill the landscape. This piece would be perfect for anyone familiar with this part of Colorado and who loves the mountain wilderness.
