Original watercolor painting, 'Seabirds of the North Atlantic', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This is my second painting of 2017, and the first rather elaborate one where I was wanting to tell a 'story'. This is the story of the seabird life along the rocky, rugged coastlines of the North Atlantic. Many species of birds nest on the cliffs of the peninsulas and islands jutting in the northern stretches of ocean, and in this piece I have included three species - the Common Murre, the Atlantic Puffin, and the Northern Gannet. Aqua, blue, green, and brown tones fill this piece. This piece would be perfect for the bird or ocean lover.
