Original watercolor painting, 'North Island Robin Impression', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Other than the shape and dimensions of this bird, this is not a realistic impression of the sweet, delicate North Island Robin, which can be found in New Zealand. I chose to use a variety of colors to depict this little bird, so that the result is definitely impressionistic rather than realistic. Many colors fill the background, with both brush stroke techniques as well as water effects.
