Original watercolor painting, 'Long's Peak Winter Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Long's Peak is a jagged 14er (fourteener) mountain, over 14,000 feet in elevation, in the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Near the community of Estes Park, it is the tallest mountain in this area. This view is based off of a scene in Rocky Mountain National Park, on a cool winter morning after a recent snowfall. Snow-covered pine and fir trees blanket the mountain slopes, and forest and wilderness is all around. This area is a popular winter destination for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. The Original painting is 10.75 x 14.5 inches, painted on 140 pound Arches cold press fine art watercolor paper. The Original, prints, or canvases of this painting would be a perfect gift for the fourteener enthusiast!
