Original watercolor painting, 'Fourth of July Trail Summer Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This is one of my favorite areas of the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, near the mountain community of Eldora. Breathtaking views of beautiful mountain peaks can be seen near treeline as you begin climbing above the pine trees and out into open meadows filled with wildflowers. This was based off of a photo I took from the trail at the height of summer, with wild geranium and other flowers blooming and covering the slopes.
