Description
Original watercolor painting, 'Forest and Stream Landscape, by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This painting was inspired by a scene I came across while hiking through Rocky Mountain National Park, in the Colorado Rockies near Estes Park, in early autumn many years ago, just as the leaves on the aspen trees were beginning to turn a golden yellow. In the early morning light, much of the scene was filled in shadow, but the sunlight highlighted the sides of the bark on the aspen, some patches of the flowing water before it cascaded down the small waterfalls of the stream, and some of the golden leaves in the surrounding forest. The Original is 11.5 x 15.5 inches, painted on 140 pound Arches cold press fine art watercolor paper. This landscape is filled with green, blue, yellow, and purple tones.
