Original watercolor painting, 'Bluebird Lake Sunset', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This painting was inspired by a photograph I took ten years ago on a sunny morning in early summer at Bluebird Lake. I obviously chose to convert the timeframe to sunset, though, for this piece! This painting uses a lot of soft, warm colors, and I left the foreground less differentiated, as I find it soothing, and it's ultimately the effect I want. This beautiful, small mountain lake is within the Wild Basin part of Rocky Mountain National Park, in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
