Artist's Description
'Sangre de Cristos and Blanca Peak', by Lynn Cyrus /Cascade Colors. A Colorado summer landscape photograph taken within the Sangre de Cristos range of the Rocky Mountains. The geologic details of the mountains are beautiful to behold at elevations far above treeline. Small Alpine avens wildflowers bloom low to the ground in the foreground, and mountain ridges and peaks can be seen in the distance. Blanca Peak, a large 14er (fourteener) mountain, rises in the distance, and is seen from the slopes of Mount Lindsey. Ellingwood Point is also visible in this image, directly to the right/behind of Blanca. 14ers are popular hiking destinations, and are mountains which have an elevation of over 14,000 feet.
About Cascade Colors

Fine art photography and watercolor paintings! My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing. NO AI, no altered backgrounds, no filters, no effects, everything shot in RAW. The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife, and scenes from my travels. I particularly focus on color and wet-on-wet effects. In terms of style, I enjoy experimenting with various styles. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also, feel free to send me...
