'San Juans Indian Paintbrush Landscape', a nature photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Brilliant, vivid orange-red Indian Painbrush and pink Rosy Paintbrush fill the foreground of this scene, with rolling green alpine meadow and pine forest covering the slopes of the mountain peaks in the background. This scene was taken in late July, near Yankee Boy Basin, outside of Ouray, Colorado.

My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing, so that what you see is very much what it looked like in person, in terms of lighting, colors, and shadow. The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife (primarily birds! I adore birds!), and scenes from my travels.
