Original watercolor painting, 'Blue Lakes Summer', by Lynn Cyrus/ Cascade Colors. This painting depicts the Lower Blue Lake, seen from the mountain slopes above. Fireweed blooms covers part of the hillside, and green grass and pine trees also fill the foreground. The aqua blue lake with mountain peaks in the background complete the composition. This beautiful lake near treeline is within the Mount Sneffels Wilderness, near Ouray, in the San Juans range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This piece is painted in a very soft style.
