'Crestone Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. A Colorado summer landscape photograph. The picturesque Crestone peaks rise up in the background of this part of the Sangre de Cristos range of the Rocky Mountains, with a small alpine lake and pink clover wildflowers also complementing this landscape. A bright, vivid blue summer sky lies overhead. Crestone Peak is a 14er (fourteener) mountain, a mountain of elevation 14,000 feet or higher. These mountains are popular hiking destinations.
