'Crested Butte Evening Wildflowers and Mountains', a photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. Brilliant yellow Aspen Sunflower blooms, orange flower blooms, and purple-blue Lupine flowers dot a green meadow at the base of a mountain slope outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. Wildflowers grow densely in this region of the Rocky Mountains, due to higher amounts of rainfall. I took this shot at sunset, on an overcast evening, so colors were especially vibrant and rich. This peaceful, colorful scene was taken in early July.
