'Colorado Blue Columbine', a fine art nature and landscape photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This composition features the beautiful purple-blue and white flowers of the Colorado state flower perfectly - they stand out clear against the summer green background of the mountain meadow and pine forest, with some of the peaks of the Indian Peaks Wilderness still covered in patches of snow. A bright blue sky is overhead on this sunny day. This part of the wilderness lies in the Front Range of the Rockies, near the communities of Nederland and Eldora.
