Artist's Description
'American Basin Blue Columbine', a fine art mountain landscape photograph by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. American Basin is a well-known destination in the heart of the San Juans range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, near Cinnamon Pass between Lake City and Silverton. Handie's Peak, a fourteener (14er), is part of the famous ridge in this basin. At the height of summer, green vegetation and wildflowers fill the meadows, and the Blue Columbine especially is a gem of this wilderness.
About Cascade Colors
Fine art photography and watercolor paintings! My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing. NO AI, no altered backgrounds, no filters, no effects, everything shot in RAW. The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife, and scenes from my travels. I particularly focus on color and wet-on-wet effects. In terms of style, I enjoy experimenting with various styles. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Also, feel free to send me...
