About Cascade Colors

Cascade Colors I am a Photographer and Watercolor Painter. My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing, so that what you see is very much what it looked like in person, in terms of lighting, colors, and shadow.

The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife (primarily birds! I adore birds!), and scenes from my travels. I particularly focus on color and wet-on-wet effects. In terms of style, I enjoy experimenting with various styles, though I am probably a bit more on the looser side of painting than incredibly detailed.
