Original watercolor painting, 'Paros Church and Street Scene', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. I had the pleasure of visiting the Greek Islands, in the Mediterranean Sea south of mainland Greece, in the early 2000's. One of the islands I visited was the lesser traveled Paros, and I explored this island for several days before the greek orthodox Easter celebration. I came across the quiet village of Lefkes, and wandered some of its streets, where I took a photograph of this beautiful church - its white-washed walls and blue dome contrasting wonderfully with the brilliant clear blue sky above, and the clean painted sidewalk winding its way beside and around it.
Fine art photography and watercolor paintings! My passions in photography are landscapes and nature, capturing these elements in winter, spring, summer, and fall, in all types of terrain and locations around the world. I aim to capture the natural beauty of the world around me, and my philosophy is to use minimal amounts of post-processing. NO AI, no altered backgrounds, no filters, no effects, everything shot in RAW. The themes of my watercolor paintings are most commonly natural landscapes, wildlife, and scenes from my travels.
