Original watercolor painting, 'Colorado Mountain and Lupine Landscape', by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This piece was inspired by a trip to Silverthorne in mid June earlier this year. Shortly before sunset, the lighting was diffused enough such that all of the colors popped vividly, with the rich purple-blue blossoms of the lupine especially prominent. Bright red Scarlet Gilia (also known as Fairy Trumpet) wildflowers also dotted this patch of meadow. The Rocky Mountains rise in the background. A summer landscape perfect for your mountain hiker and lover of the wilderness.
